News, blogs, forums, and segmentation

webz.io
MCP servers online /mcp requires a Bearer token

Webz.io MCP Servers

Pick the server that matches the data you need. Each endpoint answers a different question, and each one uses your Webz token. Rate limits and credits stay on your Webz account.

Search servers (news, blogs, forums) return the posts themselves. Segmentation servers return counts instead, such as the top sites, authors, people, or companies for a query, up to 10 buckets per call.

Opening an endpoint in a browser returns 401 Unauthorized. Browsers do not send your API token. Use an MCP client configuration instead.

MCP servers

Copy the config for the server you want, or use the full config further down to add all of them.

Step 1: Get your API token

Before connecting a server, get your Webz.io API token:

  1. Go to webz.io
  2. Log in to your account
  3. Open your Dashboard
  4. Copy your API Token
Important: Keep your token secure. Never share it publicly or commit it to git.

Step 2: Connect your AI client

Replace YOUR_WEBZ_TOKEN with your API token from Step 1. Merge this into mcpServers. Do not replace the whole file. Delete any server you do not need.

Web clients

Use the endpoint of the server you want. Add another connector if you need a second server.

Recommended: environment variable token

Set the token once in your shell profile:

export WEBZ_API_TOKEN="your-webz-api-token"

Then use this config. Cursor replaces ${env:WEBZ_API_TOKEN} at runtime.

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "webz-news": {
      "url": "https://news-mcp.webz.io/mcp",
      "headers": {
        "Authorization": "Bearer ${env:WEBZ_API_TOKEN}"
      }
    },
    "webz-blogs": {
      "url": "https://blogs-mcp.webz.io/mcp",
      "headers": {
        "Authorization": "Bearer ${env:WEBZ_API_TOKEN}"
      }
    },
    "webz-forums": {
      "url": "https://forums-mcp.webz.io/mcp",
      "headers": {
        "Authorization": "Bearer ${env:WEBZ_API_TOKEN}"
      }
    },
    "webz-seg-news": {
      "url": "https://seg-news-mcp.webz.io/mcp",
      "headers": {
        "Authorization": "Bearer ${env:WEBZ_API_TOKEN}"
      }
    },
    "webz-seg-blogs": {
      "url": "https://seg-blogs-mcp.webz.io/mcp",
      "headers": {
        "Authorization": "Bearer ${env:WEBZ_API_TOKEN}"
      }
    },
    "webz-seg-forums": {
      "url": "https://seg-forums-mcp.webz.io/mcp",
      "headers": {
        "Authorization": "Bearer ${env:WEBZ_API_TOKEN}"
      }
    }
  }
}
Why an environment variable? The token stays out of git and out of the config file.
